The expansion first tasks players with completing short trial dungeons before entering the main Labyrinth. Those who passed the trials would earn the right to enter Izaro’s Labyrinth, a sprawling network of deadly mazes, vicious monsters, and untold treasures, whose rooms would shift their configuration every day.Ī trailer for the upcoming expansion can be viewed below:Īscendancy will introduce a bevy of new items, stat-boosting gems, game modes, and lore to the Path of Exile experience. Seeking a worthy successor to the throne, Izaro constructed lethal, trap-filled trials throughout Wraeclast to test his candidates. Or as ready as I’d ever be.Path of Exile: Ascendancy will explore the backstory of the mad king, Emperor Izaro, who once ruled the island of Wraeclast (upon which Path of Exile takes place). After listening to their setlist a couple of times, I decided on a few favorites: “Red Desert”, “Teeth”, “Disconnected”, and “BLENDER”. They have some pretty popular songs, like “She Looks So Perfect” or “Youngblood”, but in my opinion, some of their better songs are less well-known.

Luke is the vocalist, Michael is the guitarist, Calum is the bassist, and Ashton is the drummer. For those who don’t know, 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) is a 4 person band. I quickly learned that 5SOS is pretty great, especially their music. I didn’t want to go and not know any songs whatsoever. Throughout the weeks leading up to the concert I was busy studying their music. It was an incredibly impromptu decision, but honestly? That made it so much better. My friend, the one who convinced me to go with her, she asked me to go about two weeks before the actual concert. For example, I’d only ever heard a few 5SOS songs before I hadn’t been listening to them for a year, much less a decade. Some things were more accurate than others. Tuesday, we planned on going to the Grand Canyon extremely early, which meant taking it easy for the rest of the day so we could handle getting up. The rest of the day was mostly dedicated to wandering around downtown yet again. Carolyn, her roommate, Molly, and I all went out for coffee and stopped by Fractured Prune for some of the most delicious donuts. Dutch Bros Coffee, which I had never been to, was donating all profits towards the Second Chance animal shelter. Monday started, as did most of our days, with a stop for our caffeine fix. It was so hot and bright out but it was still cool to get to see, even with all the little tourist shops. Since it was still pretty early in the day, we decided to go to Sedona, where we had planned to go, but didn't have time to, when I was here in January. It's located in the mountains, all the restaurants we visited were good, and there were lots of places to amble. It doesn't take long to fall in love with Flagstaff, at least for me.

Our second day, we went to downtown Flagstaff and wandered around all of the stores. Those who go with the latter will have to resort to Bleeding and Bleedsplosion AoE in order to deal with hordes. Players can choose to either dual-wield and go full-on offense, or wield a shield and achieve that previously mentioned balance.

But unlike its offense-oriented Slayer cousin, this Ascendancy is can balance between offense and defense. The Gladiator is another Duelist class that is equally as thriving as the former. Coupled with a high chance to deal critical damage and protection from reflection, it should be no surprise why the Slayer can make it in an AOE-dominated meta. A lot of Slayer builds have Cyclone as its bread and butter, which is a powerful melee skill. The Slayer a Duelist another consistently highly rated class, and is considered as one of the most exemplary melee classes. This Ascendancy has become better than ever because of new Dexterity builds that have Toxic Rain, Elemental Hit, and Blade Blast as core skills. While the Pathfinder is all about survival and the Deadeye improves ranged skills, the Raider bolsters the Ranger's ability to deal critical damage. The Raider is another good Ascendancy from the Ranger base class.
